Tocumen International Airport (IATA code: PTY) is located 24 km from downtown Panama City, approximately a 20 minute car ride.
Official taxi services are readily available just outside the terminal on the ground floor. These taxis are the only taxi services authorized to pick up passengers at the airport. Should you decide to share the ride, the fee will be lower depending on the number of passengers.
Several car rental companies offer their services.
Many hotels offer shuttle services and you can also choose to be picked up by a tour operator or private transportation service of your choice.

Panama´s currency is the Balboa with one Balboa equal to one US dollar. Panamanian coins (one-, five-, 10-, 25-, and 50-cent pieces) circulate having the same size, shape, color and value as the US ones and are used interchangeably with them. Best Time to Visit

Throughout of the country, the tropical climate is divided into the winter or rainy season from mid-May to December and the summer or dry season from mid-December to mid-May. Temperatures remain fairly constant throughout the year, averaging 80°F/27°C in the coastal areas and becoming cooler and less humid with spring like weather in the highlands.
